Sarah visited us from Vegas and Red Rocks for two laps up and down the Chapel Pond Slab. She brought the sun with her for a beautiful day of rock climbing! We ticked about 9 pitches over two classics, Regular Route (5.5) and Empress (5.5), for Sarah’s biggest day out in 15 years. 🤘 Finding shady belays might have been the crux of the day! 😜
We chatted about rope management, anchor building, and the overlap of the climbing and canyoneering worlds. And we shared a mutual love for Tri-cams. 😁

I really get a kick out of seeing Bob Borchers quoted in Apple media, which happens more these days as he’s risen to vice president level. I’ll always remember him as the talent in Apple’s guided tour videos showing off the iPhone back in 2007. I watched them incessantly back in the day.

We love showing off the beauty of the Adirondacks to visitors to our amazing park. The Baudins, hailing from Switzerland, took a waterfall hiking tour with us yesterday, and we got to enjoy water from above (river), below (waterfall), and within (rain shower) all in a 4-hour period!

Here’s a product recommendation long in the making. Four years ago this month, Matthew Panzarino was my guest on The Talk Show and at one point he recommended Moft’s Snap-On iPhone Stand/Wallet. It uses a very clever origami-style folding design. Folded flat it kind of just looks like a leather MagSafe wallet. But folded open it works as a stand — and as a stand, it works both horizontally and vertically.
I’ve been using this as my one and only wallet for years, and I love it. Fun fidget toy in my pocket too.
