@devondundee Me too!
@sarajw That’s so cool! 🤩
@agiletortoise Booo! I hope you can still access it via a long press on the App Store icon?
@BenRiceM That’s so pretty! Pic and UI
@ibmacin Thanks! It’s very pretty.
@numericcitizen I’ll be honest, I forgot that Microsoft owns LinkedIn.
@jonathanreed That’s true!
@jarrod Might’ve found my first macOS 26 app casualty. @rizzi‘s Reeder Classic doesn’t seem to recognize swipe gestures from my mouse or trackpad on feed items anymore. 🙁 I loved that feature! It was so fluid and made Reeder feel way faster than any other RSS app. Hope I’m wrong.
@jarrod Maybe I’d feel differently if I was used to a 32-inch 6K display, but I really feel like 27-inch 5K is an ideal size. Not too big, not too small. Might not even use the laptop’s display as a secondary screen anymore!
@jarrod Getting my display up to a more ergonomic height is much, much better. Didn’t realize I’d been holding my neck weird with the other one.
@matt_birchler God have mercy on you that it’s the former. 😬
@calebsexton That’s amazing.
@jarrod Goodness, this thing is bright. Had it at 88% brightness, but I’ve bumped down to 69%. It’s nice. 😏
@jarrod A few other first impressions:
- Speakers are great (especially once you update to macOS 26 so it takes full advantage of them)
- Nano-texture is super effective, but does make the display slightly less sharp. I think I’ll get used to it, but it’s not magic.
- The camera looks good! I was worried it wouldn’t be as nice as my old 1080p one, but I’m happy with it.
- Better, with Center Stage, I can set the display to my preferred height and the camera view reframes itself perfectly. 👌

@jarrod My Dell monitor had a pretty awful refresh rate that made my Mac feel like the mouse was dragging through molasses whenever it was connected. Honestly, it made me actively avoid using my office to get work done.
Jumping to this monitor with its (up to) 120hz makes it feel like my Mac is flying!
@matt_birchler Nice upgrade!
@amit @manton @sod Hey gents, anyone know how I can fix this with the Post Stats plugin? Disabling the Year Recap section does not appear to fix the issue.

@manton Yes! This is exactly what I want!
@siracusa Still pretty fun tbh 😆
@jonathanreed Hope Apple TV sticks to its guns on this being standard.
@jarrod (The screen works fine, but audio, the camera, and, I think, the high refresh rate all need macOS 26.)
@rscottjones sure thing. heydingus.net/blog/2022…
