I’ve already shared this on Mastodon earlier today, but thought it would be worth sharing here also.
The theme is avaialble as dark mode theme only, for now, but should you want to use it yourself, open THIS which should open Mona on your device and apply the theme.
I don’t even use Mastodon very often (occasionally for the @HeyDingus@mas.to account) and I’m still probably going to pay to unlock Mona’s pro features just so I can use @andyn@social.lol’s gorgeous theme.
@jarrod I think I’d go back to micro.blog if I could use Mona. 😂
@danielmrose It’s so good. I found Spring only shortly before I left Twitter, and it was very difficult to let that app go. I’m not holding my breath for Micro.blog support, but it sure would be great!
@jarrod Yup, I think that it’s an intentional decision by Micro Blog as a platform to not support Mastodon apps.
I respect that decision.
I really like so much of Micro Blog, I have realized that the $10/mth tier is what would make sense for me. But, the user experience with Mona keeps me here and using write.as.
Perhaps at some point that will change.
@danielmrose I don’t think it’s a barrier on the Micro.blog side. They’re quite open with their API and there are plenty of third-party apps (I’m using Gluon right now!). But it’s different than regular Mastodon, and it would take significant customization on the Mastodon app’s side to support its “flavor” of ActivityPub and features. For not a huge market, that’s probably a tough sell.
I’m only half in right now (main blog still over at Blot) but am seriously contemplating going all MB all the time. 🙂
@jarrod Right on, that makes sense.
Gluon was definitely my preferred app.
I really like the bookshelf concept and some of the other nifty MB things
