Had a pleasant run tonight through holiday lights with the nicest group in Lake Placid, the ADK Run Club. Followed by beer, cookies, and fellowship – I look forward to every Tuesday.

Okay, this is pretty wild. Apparently macOS remains completely usable with Sidecar, even when in the iPadOS app switcher UI! Smallest Mac screen you’ve ever seen?
I’ve enjoyed short naps most afternoons this week. Gets me feeling refreshed for the evening. Then, of course, I’m up till 4 AM…so there’s that.
I’m so tired of fighting Pocket to display my name as the author of my posts. I’ve tried meta tags, rel=“me” links, everything. Right now, it thinks “good ol' email” is the author because I have that phrase linked to a mailto: address. 🤦♂️

Had some great runs today on a ghost town of a mountain. Finally skied from the Whiteface summit, and tested out a pair of DPS Wailers. Pretty surfy skis for the wet and compacted conditions, but still so much fun. Btw, you gotta check out the Slopes app



I resented the time change and its early darkness because it stole from my outdoor adventuring time. But I’m starting to appreciate the time it’s given back to me to focus on other projects, like jumping back into writing and coding. 📝
It’s too bad that the tool and community that so many of us loved has had to suffer to teach someone a very expensive lesson about the consequences of trolling.
