I have real trouble remembering the correct usernames for folks now that we’re all spread across networks and servers. Autocomplete often shows outdated accounts, leaving me unsure which to pick. As a proud Text Replacements power user, though, I’ve found the perfect workaround.

And can we agree that it’s weird that iOS and macOS versions of this UI are different, but that the macOS one is much more clear? It takes me a beat sometimes to remember which one is the replacement on iOS.

replacement for my email is by far my most used.@gregmorris I don’t have add everyone to be useful. Just the ones that give me trouble. And I like that if someone moves house later, I won’t need to change my habits. Just update the replacement once and continue to use my own shortcut.
@jsonbecker To be fair, I got excited and started putting in anyone who sprung to mind. I don’t @-mention all these people regularly.
@gregmorris Though, I do wonder if there’s a limit on how many replacements you can add. Hopefully, I never find out!
