If there were a separate library for screenshots that got the same top-level access for uploading/sharing like Photos, Camera, and Files, I’d be all about that.
No screenshots allowed. I use a Shortcut to convert, resize and save to a folder in Files. I usually use any screenshots shortly after creating them and delete from Files.

@maique “Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.”
@Denny Now there’s an interesting idea… 🤔 Would you be open to sharing that shortcut?
yup
Sure! www.icloud.com/shortcuts…
@Denny Thanks! Is it a different shortcut take takes screenshot and passes it to this one then? I’ve thought about doing that, but would miss the hardware buttons and keyboard commands on iPadOS. On macOS, I’m thoroughly a CleanShot X guy.
Not all “screenshots” are actually shot from a screen. Sometime iOS mislabels the media type.
Oh, I’ve always just taken the screenshot using the standard keyboard shortcut because I sometimes want to crop it. Then I use the share sheet.
@Denny ahh, gotcha. And it doesn’t end up in your photo library that way?
Nope. After cropping and using the Shortcut there’s an option to delete the screenshot so it never goes to Photos. There’s a trashcan on the top right or click done on the left and choose delete from the dropdown.
@Denny Very cool. Thanks again.
yes. I’m not a fan of clutter.
my Photos look like this. I either delete or send to iCloud albums.
@khurtwilliams Whoa, that’s next level. You send them to a shared iCloud album then? I wish those got full quality.
