@jarrod Passwords app won’t let you save items without something in the ‘Password’s field. 👎 Also, looks like it obscures the password field completely when taking a screenshot.
@jarrod Photos app retains a sidebar on iPad and has a bunch of new Utilities categories. There are more, like Receipts, that only show up if you have images that fit the category.
@jarrod Shortcuts now surfaces your favorited actions without needing an extra tap. They used to be in a ‘Favorites’ category. 👍
@matt Nothing on an iPad mini though. Maybe OLED-only, but probably iPhone only.
@matt I like it!
@amerpie Ahh I see
@habibcham Fair enough
@amerpie Continue the streak or break the streak?
@habibcham Can you add arbitrary bits of data like 1Password, or is it still super structured?
@simonbs Hmm, I think I like the original. 🤷♂️
@rafa I’m having a good time imagining I could make that dope drawing in the first place!
@marcintosh For the bits where they're specifically farming requests out to ChatGPT, I'm sure that's the case. But for the 'Apple Intelligence' stuff, it sounded like it was all their models.
@alexcox They might first need to create a unified coding language and UI framework so that features can be developed and shipped across multiple platforms together. Oh, wait. 🙃
@chockenberry They should be relieved! Maybe they won't get so many requests if people can just make their own emojis.
@manton Looks like a play on the Genius icon to me!
@lexfri Nor did they talk about where they're training data came from.
@lexfri Yeah, you're right.
@mandaris What's that, sorry?
@andyn Yeah, they've got some great stuff for snapping and tiling. I liked what I saw at the recent Windows event.
@alpower Thanks! Glad it wasn't too annoying. 😉
@jarrod Wow. What an event. I feel like I need to start it over again at half-speed just to catch it all! Good luck to everyone whose job it is now to publish summaries as quick as they can.
@jarrod Looks like my prediction of all future Apple Events being shot on iPhone is playing out.
@jarrod The only miss on the AI section was them not using @danielpunkass's catchphrase. "There's nothing artificial about Apple Intelligence."
@jarrod I feel like they're doing the third-party chatbots through gritted teeth.
@jarrod Memory Movies!! That's what I wanted!
