@flohgro Drafts is primarily how I post to Micro.blog, so they’re inseparably linked in my mind. So when I saw this, I thought, “Wait, doesn’t Drafts already do this automatically?” 🤪

@BasicAppleGuy Nailed it. 😂

@mako @matthewcassinelli Yes, but it does appear to have resolved with the latest beta update. 👍

@jamesthomson I’ve been surprised by that too. I shared a bunch of codes once and then was mightily surprised that it meant I made no money on the sales.

I should be able to run a sale that dispenses of my portion of the profit at any point, but if it’s their discount then they should take the hit.

@BasicAppleGuy Shouldn’t the middle letters be capitalized for inconsistency? 🤪

@devondundee @v_ Thanks! 😊

@lexfri Agreed.

@quiddle 🤣

@quiddle Right? The community is awesome.

@mako @matthewcassinelli I was able to build a shortcut using it on my iPad and see the action in it on my iPhone, but it’s still not available to build with on my iPhone. 🤷‍♂️

Two smartphone screens display workflow setups. The left screen shows actions like "Dictate text," "Create Draft with Dictated Text," and "Open Draft." The right screen searches "Dictate" in a scripting app.

@matthewcassinelli Weird! Maybe it’s an 18.2 beta bug for it to be missing. My 18.1 iPad does have it.

@matthewcassinelli What happened to the 'Dictate Text' action in Shortcuts? Or am I having a fever dream about that action existing?

@odd Oh, yeah I wouldn’t turn that down! 😆

@gruber Is that…over 8000 individual tags? 😳

@odd Fix what?

@jsonbecker They’re just really clear windows. Lol

@pratik That is an impressive screen!

@daringfireball FWIW I prefer “let’s take a break” to the money bell. 🤷‍♂️

@gregmorris What in their conversation led to you to not delete your Threads account?

@matt The ads have sat really wrongly with me too. :/

heydingus.net/blog/2024...

@alexcox Oh no. You’ve reminded me that we’re going back to Large Adult Son-era.

@lexfri

Commissoner Gordon wearing glasses speaks in front of a microphone in a dimly lit room. Text reads: "Not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed."

@amerpie There are many!

@amerpie I’m not against folks trying to branch out and try new things. Nobody gets to be an expert by not trying.

@steven_aquino I stand by, if they had made the function row half-height and added the Touch Bar above it without replacing it, everyone would have loved it.
