@manton I’m still crossposting, but I turned off as many notifications besides replies as I can, hid all the Threads stuff shoved into Instagram, and removed the app from my Home Screen. I’m not missing it either, and too look forward to when I can just point people there to my Mb account.

@jagibson I dunno, I see most people, even non-techies, using their phone’s built-in password manager these days. If they’re already using that, passkeys aren’t much different, and are technically easier/faster to set up. A hang up is cross platform usage, but again, I don’t see many people confused by QR codes these days.

@rafa Mine was curved too, and had a bunch more surface area, and it’s still stretched beyond repair. The silicone cover thing has got them comfy again, but I’m wary of stretching that out too.

@n3verm0re @keenan Now that X has x’es(I think? Posts?) and Twitter no longer exists, I endorse that we go back to “tweets” as the generic term for short microblog posts.

@torb Pretty much future proofing. The M4 generation seems to be a notable jump, and I’m not in a particular rush. Might as well get the best I can and ride it out. And I’d appreciate a camera upgrade and nano-texture, presuming (hoping) those get added.

@pratik Not quite true. He’s discouraged it by removing the button to add an image in the reply field, but HTML/Markdown (Memes) work just fine. Sometimes, a GIF is just what you need!

@vincent I don’t love the notch/deep menu bar either, but I’m probably going to go with a laptop soon. I wonder if when they eventually dispose of the notch, if the menu bar will go back down to its shallow size since it’s still that way on external displays.
