Yesterday was an active outdoor day. Taking advantage of today’s rain for a computer day. 💻
I’m looking for a MagSafe charger that also doubles as a USB hub, like this handy HyperDrive Qi charger I’ve been using for years. I want use it with my phone in landscape for the upcoming Standby feature. I don’t think this exists, but I’d love to be proven wrong! Anyone seen something like it?
I love the challenge of editing down a micropost to fit within the character limit. It’s a fun, nerdy word game to get it just right. If anyone was paying attention, they’d see that a ton of my posts are precisely 300 characters long. ✊ (My tells are when you start noticing “&“s and absent commas.)
Not that it should matter to you, but if you’re blogging on Micro.blog and don’t have an RSS feed for just your long posts, you probably won’t make it into my RSS reader. I recommend using automatic categorization + the Feeds plugin to make it super easy to subscribe to your long-form posts via RSS.
Another awesome day here in the ADK. 15 miles by bike, then a walk downtown to the local farmer’s market, followed by a couple of hours spent with the pup at a new favorite swimming hole. And this time I got to spend the day with my wife! 🥰
It is my dog’s tradition to join whoever heads into the bathroom first in the morning, no matter how early or how tired he is. Honestly, I love having the company. 🥰🐶
Introducing the ‘Emoji Meaning’ shortcut! Get it here from the HeyDingus Shortcuts Library.
Curious about an emoji, what it means, or even is? Simply share, paste, or type an emoji into the shortcut to pull up its official name, history, and different platform representations on Emojipedia.
I’m following @manton’s lead on an approach to Threads for now. Manually cross-post with the goal of consolidating back to my ActivityPub-enabled microblog when that’s possible. But I have to say that seeing more of my real-life friends’ posts again has been cool and I’m enjoying interacting there.
Regarding Taylor Swift’s first “era”, Speak Now has, by far, the most of my favorites. Some absolute bangers. So fun to revisit this album today. 🎵
Had an awesome day after work yesterday! Got in a bouldering session, went for a quick dip in a perfect temperature lake, and then rocked out at a local live music gig. I love it here.
Version 1.3 of the ‘WordleBot’ shortcut has been released! Get it here from the HeyDingus Shortcuts Library.

Version 1.2 of the ‘Play Wordle’ shortcut has been released! Get it here from the HeyDingus Shortcuts Library.
It’s a minor update to fit in the new library, and I added comments that better explain the sections of the workflow.

Added new About and Description comments, and a comment to show where it matches the original URL with Regex, re-enabled the Share Sheet input, and capitalized the title.

The @upgrade@relayfm.social boys are bringing the grins this morning. 😂 🧩 ⏯️
I didn’t think I was going to use @vincent’s kudos feature of @tinylytics cause I didn’t want a “like count” on my blog posts. But then I thought of an ideal use case! I’m transitioning my shortcuts library away from RoutineHub and onto my own site, so I added a 👍 button to each of those, like this.
Ooh La La! This will be extra helpful in apps like Reader and Matter where I like to listen to articles but they can’t parse paywall items. Their Safari web view is logged in, though, so I’ll just bring up Safari Reader and listen to it that way instead. Thanks @viticci@mastodon.macstories.net! ⏯️
